The other day Maddi had the map program open on her ipod. This particular program has a banner at the top that says ‘Report a Problem’. She brought me the ipod and asked me to help her find Syria. I immediately began asking questions trying to figure out where she had heard about Syria (on the news) and why she wanted to find it on the map. She said, “It says to report a problem, and there’s a problem in Syria.”
At first it gave me a good chuckle, but as I thought about it more, I came under conviction. My 8 year old daughter had heard on the news about the attrocities happening to the Syrian people. Who knows how long she had been contemplating what she could do about the problem, and when she found that ‘Report a Problem’ banner she immediately took action to report that problem. She found something she could do to help.
